A fire broke out at a
garment factory in Bhogra Vasan road area of Gazipur city early Monday.
Abdul Hamid Mia, Deputy
Assistant Director of Gazipur Fire Service, said the blaze started around 6am
in the dyeing and knitting section of Alema Textile Limited.
On information, four
firefighting units rushed to the spot and extinguished the blaze in a couple of
hours.
Machineries and other
valuables inside the one-storey building were gutted in the fire before the
fire was brought under control, officials said.
However, the cause of
the fire is yet to be ascertained, he added.
