A court has granted bail to arrested journalist Tanvir Hasan Tanur under the Digital Security Act in Thakurgaon. The Thakurgaon Chief Judicial Magistrate's Court on Sunday granted him bail.
Journalist Tanu was produced in court around 11:30 pm. Meanwhile, the investigating officer of the case, Sub-Inspector (SI) Dalim Kumar Roy Tanur applied for a five-day remand.
His lawyer, on the other hand, sought his bail to be revoked. After hearing both sides, the court granted him bail.
Incidentally, Tanvir Hasan Tanu was arrested in a case under the Digital Security Act for reporting irregularities in the distribution of food to patients suffering from corona at Thakurgaon Sadar Hospital.
