107 Station officers promoted post by Fire Service

A total of 107 station officers and equivalent officers of the Fire Service and Civil Defense (FSCD) Directorate have been promoted to the post of Warehouse Inspector.

This for the first time that station officers and equivalent officers got the promotion within five years, while it needs 17-18 years to get promotion in the past.

Brigadier General Md. Sajjad Hossain, Director General of the FSCD Directorate on Monday conferred rank badges on those promoted to the post of Warehouse Inspector at a function held at the conference room of the department. 

Speaking on the occasion as the chief guest at the rank badge confer ceremony presided over by the Director (Administration and Finance) Md Habibur Rahman, the Director General congratulated the promoted officials and said, “Promotion not only enhances dignity and rank, it also increases responsibility.

“I hope that everyone will retribute their promotion by fulfilling their increased responsibilities with honesty and transparency, ” Brig Gen Sajjad Hossain said.

Fire service jumps in for services as soon as they get a fire accident call, The DG said and hoped that that the promoted officers would try to implement this policy in every service of the fire service. He then accompanied the present directors and deputy directors and  weared badges to the promoted ones.

Senior officiials of the directorate, including Director (Training, planning and Development) Lt Col SM Julfikar Rahman and Director (Ops) Lt Col Zillur Rahman.
