Five members of a family sustained burn injuries as a cooking gas cylinder exploded yesterday at the city's South Keraniganj area.

The accident happened around 9 pm in the Bhir Bagoir area.

After rescuing, the injured were immediately taken to Sheikh Hasina National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital.

Officer-in-Charge of South Keraniganj police station, Abul Kalam Azad confirmed the number of injured in the accident but police couldn’t identify them yet.
