Two people were killed when a train derailed at two separate places in Gazipur. Police have recovered the bodies of the deceased. The accident happened on Sunday (September 26) night. The identity of the deceased has been confirmed. The identity of the other person could not be confirmed. The deceased was identified as Shahidul Islam, 35, son of Yunus Ali of Faugan area in Gazipur. Another person killed in the accident is also a male. He is about 45 years old. Joydebpur railway junction police camp sub-inspector Shahidullah said, Shahidul Islam fell under a train on the Dhaka-Mymensingh railway line in Bhawal Gazipur area of Gazipur metropolis around 11pm on Sunday. He died on the spot. Police later went to the spot and recovered his body. On the other hand, an unidentified man fell under a train on the Dhaka-North Bengal railway line in the high-tech park area of Kaliakair upazila around 10:30 pm on Sunday. His identity has not yet been confirmed. The bodies of the deceased have been sent to the morgue of Gazipur Shaheed Tajuddin Ahmed Medical College Hospital for autopsy. Necessary legal action is being taken in this case.
