Young woman held with ICE drug in Chattogram

Police have arrested a young woman named Nusrat Fatema (21) in a search of a Dhaka-bound Shyamoli Paribahan bus at Mirsarai in Chittagong who carrying severe intoxicated drug name ICE.
The estimated market value of the recovered drug is around Tk 47 lakh 50 thousand.
Jorarganj police recovered 95 grams of the deadly ICE drug from a bus in Sonapahar area of Jorarganj union on the Dhaka-Chittagong highway on
Friday night (August 1).It is noted that ICE is the common name for crystal methamphetamine, a powerful drug that affects the central
nervous system. It comes in the form of clear crystal chunks or shiny blue-white rocks
According to police, a search of a Dhaka-bound bus in the Sonapahar area of the highway turned up 95 grams of ice wrapped in polythene from a
young woman named Nusrat Fatema. The estimated market value of the recovered drugs is around Tk 47 lakh 50 thousand. The girl was arrested
for carrying drugs.
The arrested girl is the daughter of Mintu Miah of Laxmipur village in Dhalla union of Singair upazila of Manikganj district. These drugs were being
taken from Chittagong to Dhaka. During the initial interrogation, Fatema confessed to carrying drugs, police said.
Mirsarai Jorarganj Police Second Officer (Sub-Inspector) said. Saiful Islam said around 10 pm on Friday that the ice was being taken to Dhaka from
Chittagong city. Who else is involved in the sale of these drugs is also being investigated. He said preparations were underway to file a case
against Fatima under the Narcotics Control Act.
