The deadliest coronavirus is now in the most catastrophic state in the country in a year and a half. Even if the situation is kept under control, neither infection nor death is reduced. Experts said there was a risk of a breakdown in the lockdown before Eid. It was horribly true that on the same day all the old records were broken and the number of identified covid patients and deaths.

A total of 50,952 samples were tested in the country in 24 hours till 8 am on Monday (26 July) and a record 15,192 people were found to be infected with the coronavirus. At the same time, a record 246 people have died due to the virus.

Since the outbreak of coronavirus in the country in March last year, no more patients have been identified in a single day, and the people of Bangladesh have never seen so many deaths. In the last seven days, 62,517 people have been identified as infected with corona and 1,397 have died. In the last day alone, 6,953 people have been infected with coronavirus in the Dhaka division alone, which is more than half of the total number of infected people per day. Of the 246 people who died during this period, 72 were from the Dhaka division. 61 people died in Chittagong division and 48 in Khulna division.

Most of the suggestions made by experts, including the Technical Advisory Committee, on the prevention of coronary heart disease and the Eid-ul-Adha were not followed. Ignoring the opinion of this expert committee, deaths and infections are on the rise. If this situation continues, more horrible situations will be created in the country.

Head of the National Technical Advisory Committee formed to deal with Corona. Mohammad Sahidullah said that if the coronavirus had stopped coming and going in Dhaka at this time of rising, the infection could have been prevented. The difficult situation ahead is coming. Now you have to follow 100% hygiene rules. Everyone has to wear a mask. Strict enforcement of the law is required to ensure that masks are worn. At the same time, corona sample testing should be increased. Everyone has to be brought under the test. This will identify the unmarked. And corona vaccination activities should be carried out on a large scale. Vaccination needs to be simplified. Many people in the village do not know how to register for vaccination. If they go to the center with NID or any other identity card, they will have to be vaccinated. Keep in mind, right now Corona's medical services are going beyond capacity. Corona could not control the spread even though the developed countries had more capacity. So we have to be aware.

The number of newly identified patients in the country so far stands at 11 lakh 89 thousand 728. A total of 19 thousand 521 people have died among the victims. Strict restrictions on lockdowns have been imposed across the country since July 1, as identities and deaths continue to rise. However, it did not show any positive changes in the spread of the infection. Within the restrictions, on July 6, for the first time, 10,000 patients were identified daily. Then on 12 July 13,006 new patients were identified by the Department of Health. This was the highest identification record in so many days. That record was also broken yesterday (26 July).

There are only 46 government ICUs in Dhaka

Although there is a lockdown in the country to prevent coronavirus, corona infection has increased after Eid. At the beginning of the second wave of the corona, the country is going back to the situation that was created with the ICU situation in the country. The demand for ICUs has increased with the increase in the number of patients identified after Eid. According to a source in the health department, there are only 46 government ICUs vacant in Dhaka.
