BGB Distributes Winter Clothing Among Cold-Stricken People in Narayanganj

Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) has distributed winter clothing among cold-stricken and underprivileged people in Narayanganj. The distribution program was held on Saturday (January 10) at the training ground of Narayanganj Battalion (62 BGB).
The initiative was taken as part of BGB Headquarters’ directive to stand beside helpless people during the winter season. Under this humanitarian program, winter clothes were distributed among around 300 poor, destitute, and cold-affected individuals.
Present at the event were Commanding Officer of Narayanganj Battalion (62 BGB) Lieutenant Colonel Mirza Mohammad Arafat, Deputy Commanding Officer Major Md. Farzin Fahim, and Acting Quartermaster Assistant Director Md. Ziaur Rahman.
Speaking on the occasion, the BGB Commander said that besides ensuring border security and preventing smuggling, BGB regularly works for the socio-economic development of poor and vulnerable communities. He added that such humanitarian assistance activities would continue in the future.
