Hadisur Rahman, the naval engineer killed in a "missile attack" on the Bangladeshi ship "Banglar Samriddhi" in Ukraine on March 2, was buried next to his grandparents' graves in Barguna this morning.
He was buried at the family graveyard at his village home in Hosnabad, under Barguna's Betagi upazila, around 11am today. Around 5,000 people attended his namaz-e-janaza -- held at a field adjacent to his house, reports our Patuakhali correspondent.
Around 9:45pm yesterday, his body reached his village home in a freezer ambulance. The body arrived at Dhaka's Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 12:20pm yesterday on a Turkish Airlines flight.
