Full-fledged in-person classes at all secondary schools might resume from the middle of this month, said Education Minister Dipu Moni today. The government is also working to have a national policy on blended learning, she said while talking with reporters after attending a program in Dhaka.

Asked if medical colleges will give admission tests on complete HCS syllabus, Dipu Moni said "all authorities should hold this year's admission test following the revised syllabus on which HSC exams were held".

In-person classes of secondary schools and colleges across the country resumed partially on February 22 only for the students who got two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. Universities started their academic activities on the same day.

On March 17, 2020, educational institutions were closed due to the Covid-19 pandemic and resumed partially on September 12 last year. Following a sharp rise in infections, the government again shut down all schools and colleges for two weeks from January 21.
