The police headquarters has given a stern message to the members of the transgender not to harass people in various ways including collecting tolls at home after giving birth to newborns on different roads. The police have warned that strict action will be taken against the hijras if any allegation against the public interest is received in the future.

AIG Sohail Rana said a resident of the Pallabi police station area of the capital's Mirpur had complained to the Media and Public Relations Wing of the police that the harassment and harassment of the transgender community in and around his home were going on.

The citizen said in the message, some transgender members are going from house to house and flat on different occasions for family, religious, and state occasions, including newborns and Eid, demanding extortion of Tk 2,000 from locals. When no one wants to give or if no one can afford to give, he treats ordinary people very rudely. Pallabi police officer in charge of the police headquarters (OC) said. Parvez instructed Islam to take action in this regard. Later, OC Parvez Islam called the local transgenders at the police station. Discussion meetings were organized with them in compliance with the hygiene rules. Officials from the Media and Public Relations Department are involved in the discussion online from the police headquarters.

It was strictly stated in the meeting that action will be taken against the hijras in accordance with the existing law if there is any allegation of any activity against the public interest. At the meeting, the leaders of the transgender community assured that no such allegations would come in the future.
