Stylish opener Liton Das picked up his fifth ODI century to help Bangladesh post 306-4 in their second ODI of the three-match series against Afghanistan on Friday at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium, Chittagong.

Liton scored 136 off 126 balls with the aid of 16 fours and two sixes.  He was involved in the record breaking third wicket stand with Mushfiqur Rahim, who scored 86 off 93 balls. that played the pivotal role to set up such a big score on the board.

The stand of 202 runs off 186 balls was broken in the 47th over when Liton was caught by Mujeeb ur Rahman off the bowling of Fareed Ahmed when the score was 285. Mushfiq was held at deep third man in the very next ball to be dismissed while attempting a romp shot.

Bangladesh captain Tamim Iqbal won the toss and elected to bat first in the The hosts, who won the first match by four wickets, kept their playing eleven unchanged.
