The final result of the 40th Bangladesh Civil Service (BCS) examinations under the Bangladesh Public Service Commission (BPSC) has been published.
A total of 1,963 candidates have been recommended for appointment to different cadres. The result was published on BPSC website on Wednesday afternoon. The BPSC published results of the 40th BCS written exams on January 27 last year. A total of 10,964 candidates passed the written exams.
The BPSC published the notification of 40th BCS on September 11, 2018. As many as 412,532 candidates applied for the preliminary examination. Of these, 327,000 candidates appeared in the preliminary exam on May 3, 2019. Of them 20,277 were primarily selected.
The recruitment circular was published with 1,903 cadre posts. However, it was said that this number could increase further.
