Earlier on Friday afternoon, Makbul was arrested from his residence in the capital’s Dhanmandi. He was taken to DB office on Minto road for interrogation. Later, he was handed over to New Market Police Station.

Apart from, Nahid’s father Md Nadim Hossain and Mursalin’s brother Nur Mohammad filed two murder cases with New Market Police Station. Around 1,400 unnamed people were accused in the cases. It is to be noted, Makbul owns two shops in Dhaka New Market, from where the clash reportedly originated.
