Around 500 Dhaka College, students stormed Teachers' Training College this evening after the former beat three of their classmates. Dhaka College students positioned themselves in front of the Teachers' Training College with sticks and sharp weapons, pelting stones at the Teachers' Training College students as police stood silent, according to our DU journalist on the scene.

Three Dhaka College students were beaten by students from Teachers' Training College near its campus earlier in the afternoon over a trivial matter. As word spread, Dhaka College students flocked to the front entrance of the Teachers Training College and hurled brickbats, eyewitnesses said.

According to authorities, students from Teachers' Training College took up positions within their campus and detonated cocktails. The situation caused panic among those who were passing through the area. Inspector Gias Uddin of the New Market Police Station said they were trying to bring the situation under control.
